The changes made to the JMP circuit in the late 60's set the stage for a new type of rock and roll, The tighter bass response, creamy top end and thick mids defined the sound of Marshall amps for decades and is still used as a measuring stick for new amplifiers.

Only available as non master volume and 50w and 100w models, cranking the classic plexi amps is not something most guitarist get to do - and they are missing out!! For most rock guitarist plugging into a great plexi is like finding home, that is what we have set out to achieve with the GTS-20 amp kit.

The GTS-20 amp has a 20w power section with two EL84 valves, enough power for small venues,  and the classic plexi front pre amp, the post phase invertor master volume allows you to control how hard the power valves are pushed, to help keep the amp tight and over compressing.

The amp has two inputs, Input 1 is the Classis JMP bright input that will cover anything from AC/DC type sounds to classic VH, Input 2 has more controllable gain levels and a fuller bottom end, this gives a tone closer to earlier JTM style amplifier for smoother lead sounds and some really nice clean sounds.

On the 4 inpout vintage amps players would often link channel 1 and channel 2 with a patch cable, this gave a wider range of sounds with a slight gain loss. On the GTS we have added a LINK switch on the front panel that let the player blend the two volumes together to get a large array of sounds through the Input 1 jack socket with no gain loss

Use the options above to select exactly what you want, we recommend using polyester coupling caps, so either the Modulus Yellow Caps or upgrade to Mallory M150 or Sozo Std Mustard Caps.

If you select to include valves we normally supply JJ Electronic valves with this kit when available.

You can also select your faceplate colour and knobs, we make faceplate's to order so if you have any special requirements let us know and we will see what we can do to help.

Our transformers are the highest quality and the output transformer is based directly off the original RS transformer, with the same imperial winding pattern and uses high grade, grain oreintated laminations.

Parts will be picked once the order is received and generally shipped within 3 to 10 working days from receipt of order. We try to keep all parts in stock to satisfy kit orders, however if there are part shortages that will take longer than 2 weeks we will contact you within 3 working days of placing the order, Please contact me for estimated shipping times prior to ordereing if concerned.

Cabinets are made to order and shipped separately, dispatch times are typically 2 to 4 weeks for the cabinet.
