Our Deep Fried Marshbar kit has been our most popular amp kit since we first released the 20w version a few years ago, Since then we have also released a 50w version of the kit with more power and features and now here we have the new stripped back 10W model that an ideal gateway amp to get your feet into high gain amp building and modding.

So what does it sound like? This is classic plexi tone on the low input and then boosted with an extra gain stage on the high input giving loads of gain and sustain for those who want it.

The amp features a single EL34 power valve in a cathode bias configeration and two ECC83s pre-amp valves deliver the gain and saturation that make this amp so much fun to play.

Perfect for hobbyists, tone tweakers, and amp builders, this kit recreates the character and response of the classic plexi pre amp in a compact 10 watt single-ended format — ideal for home, studio, or stage use with a mic’d cabinet.

Use the options above to select exactly what you want, we recommend using polyester coupling caps, so either the Modulus Yellow Caps or upgrade to Mallory M150.

If you select to include valves we normally supply JJ Electronic valves with this kit when available.

You can also select your faceplate colour and knobs, we make faceplate's to order so if you have any special requirements let us know and we will see what we can do to help. Additional charges may apply.

Our transformers are the highest quality and are wound in house specifically for our kits, We use high grade, grain orientated laminations in our output transformers for maximum clarity and power.

Parts will be picked once the order is received and typically shipped within 3 to 10 working days from receipt of order. We try to keep all parts in stock to satisfy kit orders, however if there are part shortages that will take longer than 2 weeks we will contact you within 3 working days of placing the order, Please contact me for estimated shipping times prior to ordering if concerned.

Cabinets are made to order and shipped separately, dispatch times are typically 4 to 6 weeks for the cabinet.
