This amp kit is inspired by the S.I.R #34 rental amp that a certain top-hat wearing guitarist rented in the early 90's to record the bands follow up album. The amp was so rocking that it was purchased from the rental studio and has been used on multiple recording since.

So what does it sound like? It is tight and bright with more gain than a stock 800 circuit, the gain levels are easily controlled via the guitar volume control, This is the sound of hard rock in a box and is not just limited to "Top-Hat" sounds.

We have made some minor adjustments to the circuit to make it slightly more pleasing and used a 50w output section rather than 100w as this thing sound best when turned up.

You can also select your faceplate colour and knobs, we make faceplate's to order so if you have any special requirements let us know and we will see what we can do to help.

Our transformers are the highest quality and the output transformer is based directly off the original Drake transformers with the same winding pattern laminations.

Please Note: This is not a kit for beginners or first time builders. Layout and wire dress is very important to ensure the amp is stable.

Parts will be picked once the order is received and generally shipped within 3 to 10 working days from receipt of order. We try to keep all parts in stock to satisfy kit orders, however if there are part shortages that will take longer than 2 weeks we will contact you within 3 working days of placing the order, Please contact me for estimated shipping times prior to ordering if concerned.

Cabinets are made to order and shipped separately, dispatch times are typically 2 to 4 weeks for cabinets.
