Imagine if the JCM800 2003 was a hot rodded version of the earlier plexi amps, rather than the bright aggressive 800 series amps, Now imagine if you could switch between the two sounds and maybe a third option that is even more aggressive. That's what we have aimed for with the Deep Fried Marshbar Amp Kit and this one is a low wattage version so you can turn it up to get it really singing.

The amp features a 3 way toggle switch that revoices the pre-amp from Hot rodded plexi tones in the Deep Fried Position, to 800 territory in the middle position and for some extra poke in the earhole the third position takes the amp closer to the SIR 34 mod famously used on GNR recordings.

The high low inputs also gives even greater flexibility, in the low setting the extra gain stage is removed giving more lower gain options and even some nice clean sounds.

The amp also features a resonance control, this is helpful for adding some thump to the final sound that makes for a really pleasing playing experience and more modern tones.

Use the options above to select exactly what you want, we recommend using polyester coupling caps, so either the Modulus Yellow Caps or upgrade to Mallory M150 or Sozo Std Mustard Caps.

If you select to include valves we normally supply JJ Electronic valves with this kit when available.

You can also select your faceplate colour and knobs, we make faceplate's to order so if you have any special requirements let us know and we will see what we can do to help.

Our transformers are made in house to the highest quality and the output transformer is based directly off the original RS transformer, with the same imperial winding pattern and uses high grade, grain oreintated laminations.

SHIPPING DETAILS

Parts will be picked once the order is received and generally shipped within 3 to 10 working days from receipt of order. We try to keep all parts in stock to satisfy kit orders, however if there are part shortages that will take longer than 2 weeks we will contact you within 3 working days of placing the order, Please contact me for estimated shipping times prior to ordering if concerned.

Cabinets are made to order and shipped separately, dispatch times are typically 2 to 4 weeks for the cabinet.
