This is our first Dumbledore amp kit, inspired by the #124 Overdrive Special amp built by Dumble in the early 1980’s which was later then modified or “enlightened” to what is known as the Skyliner specs.

The kit has a few layout improvements to account for modern parts and to keep things tidier and easier for amateur amp builders to execute safely and successfully.

We have made the FET board optional on this kit, defaulting to a simple high and low input arrangement. The main reason being that a boost pedal out front of the amp will work great and be foot switchable and probably more useful to the player and removing it saves a bit on the cost and complexity of the kit. Of course you can select to have the MOFET board included just like the 100w kit if you want that option.

This is a complicated amp build not intended for beginners, you need to have built a few amps before tackling this kit/build.

We have tried to make the options above flexible enough to build the exact amp you want, but if you want some small differences please let us know.

Most Dumble amps were built with Polyester Orange Drop capacitors. but this amp will sound great with any of the capacitor options listed above.

If you select to include valves we typically supply TAD and JJ Electronic valves with this kit. We can supply other valves on request.

You can also select your faceplate colour and knobs, we make faceplate's to order so if you have any special requirements let us know and we will see what we can do to help.

Our transformers are the highest quality and made in house for this circuit. The power transformer is wound on a dual section bobbin to comply with safety standards. The output transformer has a 4K primary load with 4 and 8 Ohm Secondary Outputs.

You can choose to have the Enlightened Dumbledore text on the front panel or a different name pf your choice. Please enter the name on in the text box above. We will not place the "By Dumble" text on the front panel, please don't ask.

Parts will be picked once the order is received and due to the high number of parts involved in this kit will be generally be shipped within 7 to 10 working days from receipt of order. We try to keep all parts in stock to satisfy kit orders, Please contact me for estimated shipping times prior to ordering if concerned.

Cabinets are made to order and shipped separately, dispatch times are typically 4 to 6 weeks for cabinets.
